A Business Case for Investments in Nursing

A recently published brief from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Importance of Content, Context, and Policy Environment: Evidence of the Case for Investments in Nursing, reveals findings generated through the Interdisciplinary Nursing Quality Research Initiative (INQRI).

As health care becomes more complex with increased changes of care settings, the need for effective management will continue to raise the role of nursing in care coordination and delivery. Although nursing plays a critical role in health care, there is limited understanding of nursing’s contribution to organizations’ financial health.
